Test your fitness at the Palace

Going to the London Grand Prix? Then pop by the Norwich Union stand for a free health check

IF you are lucky enough to have got tickets, the Norwich Union London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Friday is an ideal place for relative newcomers to learn more about the sport. In order to do this, though, our tip is to get there early and check out the trade stands area.

Athletics Weekly will be there in force, with our staff present to cover the biggest domestic track and field event of the year. But we will not be alone as there will be a number of other athletics-related stalls to
browse through.

It is a great opportunity, for example, to get a free fitness check at the travelling Norwich Union roadshow. In other words, don’t bother making an appointment with your local GP – visit the London GP instead!

Norwich Union will have professional fitness instructors to give a health assessment, answer your questions and provide advice. With all this information, they will then supply you with a fitness plan to suit your needs, helping you maintain a healthier lifestyle. After visiting the roadshow and taking part, you’ll also be entered into a Norwich Union prize draw.

In addition to this, there will also be a host of other stands to visit, selling books, merchandise, equipment and trips to future athletics events.

For details of how to get to Crystal Palace and for late ticket information see ukathletics.net.
